Text Box: ART NEWS Text Box: ART NEWS In February the 2008 Mid-Shore Student Art Exhibition was held at the Easton Art Academy from February 21st—March 29th, The following students had art work displayed there. Kindergarten - Taniya Smith, Samuel Padillo and Melisa Diaz 1st grade - Ja’Mia Jarmon, Nayeli Saldana, Tala’jah Jones, Julisa Rodriquez, Maggie Pantzloff, Ametria Green and Courtne’ Jenkins 2nd grade - Erika Barrios Munoz, Antonio Aquilar, DaVeione Cephas, Dajhon Dixon, Jennifer Saldana and Ivory Buck 3rd grade - KeyShawn Johnson and Jeremiah Wongus 4th grade - Jeremiah Maltez 5th grade - Cedrick Stanley, Zakiya Chikwendu, Ron’Quisha Pritchett, De’Nesha Norris and Di’Shawn Elliott The Board of Education requested the art work of Choptank to be on display for this month. The following students will have their work on display: Hailey Hurley, Ty’Asia Stevenson, Khie’Iza Henngan, Ja’Nae Keene, Ja’Nysha Boulden, Datahj Gibbs,Devonte Ralph, Dajour Spry-Smith, Shylo Yapp, Jy’Naja Cornish, Marayah Anderson, and Allesha Wongus. Text Box: FROM THE MEDIA CENTER Reminder: * Books are due one week from the date they are checked out. Please try to remind your children to return their books, so that others may enjoy the books. * Book Fair - Scholastic Book Fair will be here from April 21st—April 25th. Students will be receiving flyers containing information about the books. The book fair will be open during the day for students to purchase and browse. The Book Fair will also be open Thursday, April 24th until 7:00p.m. * Reading Challenge—The Reading Challenge will end on Friday, May 9th. Continue to read and turn in your reading logs so that you do not miss out on the celebration. It is not too late.
