Elementary School Counselors Role:

Elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skill necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. Through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, counselors work as a team with the school staff, parents and the community to create a caring climate and atmosphere. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, school counselors can help all children achieve academic success.

We want to extend our thanks to every student who made our field trip on the Sultana a success.

Our fifth  grade students are preparing for the next step in their young careers-middle school.  We are currently completing units on Decimals and Algebra in Math class as well as working hard in Reading.

In science  class the students have explored the Solar System including the Earth and its moon.  We are now introducing our students to Social Studies by way of our federal government.  We have also been teaching our students a wide variety of writing, reading and enrichment activities to strengthen their minds and prepare them for their future success.

Please make sure your child does his/her homework each and every day, including practicing math facts.  Turning in assignments each and every day helps our students learn responsibilities of every day school life.  Never allow the students to accept less than their best; we believe that each and every child can be successful.
